The Justice Department sued Colorado over a state law banning ammunition magazines capable of holding more than 15 rounds a law passed in 2013 in the wake of a mass shooting the previous year at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. The suit is separate from a related DOJ lawsuit filed Tuesday against the city of Denver over its longstanding assault weapons ban.
