Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted today for a photo of seashells. A grand jury returned an indictment charging Comey over an Instagram photo he posted last year of seashells on a beach arranged to say “8647.” The 86 is old slang for “get rid of,” and 47 is seen as a reference to Trump, the 47th president. Comey faces charges of making a threat against the president and transmitting a threat in interstate commerce each carrying up to 10 years in prison.
