Wow! Happy #ThrowbackThursday to me! This is a photo of my grandfather (my mother’s father) as a young man at the age of 19. You are seeing it only five minutes after I am seeing it for the first time, and it is the only photo of my grandfather I have ever seen other than one taken when I met him for the first and only time when he was a very old man and I was 20. The amazing genealogy person I am working with to document my Canadian ancestry dug this up! I know virtually nothing about my mother’s background or my ancestry through her so this is quite the gift!
