Why is it that when a man offers unasked for advice it’s “mansplaining” and he is villified for it, but when a woman offers the very same unasked for advice, word for a word in the exact same manner and tone, she’s “being helpful to a sistah” and is to be thanked? #DoubleStandardMuch?
UPDATE: I have turned commenting off because so many comments are off the rails and I have to delete them, and frankly I shouldn’t have to police comments in an environment where we are supposedly all adults. But I am leaving the thread up so that you can see what others have to say about this, usually, but not always, proving my point, often with a level of misandy surprising even to me. But a few people, both male and female, do get it, and I appreciate them.
NOTE: Do NOT private message me because you can’t comment.
