We’re having fun with the memes, but this situation is ridiculous. The administration is now doubling down on “Algaefa” instead of addressing what actually happened. They awarded a no-bid contract, brought in a contractor whose work is now under intense scrutiny, and ignored scientific expertise in favor of dumping large amounts of hydrogen peroxide into the water. The result? Wildlife was harmed, the coating began peeling, and taxpayers are left paying for a preventable mess. Yes, we joke about it. But this is what happens when ideology and shortcuts replace science, expertise, and accountability. None of this had to happen. So while we’re laughing at the excuses, we’re also 100% Team Algae. 😉
