Boulder County, Colorado, is seeking millions of dollars from fossil fuel companies, including Suncor Energy, to help cover the costs of climate-related disasters like wildfires, extreme heat, and flooding. The county argues the companies hid the risks of fossil fuels while communities were left to deal with the consequences.
