U.S. Army officials launched an investigation into two AH-64 Apache attack helicopters that flew over Saturday’s “No Kings” protest in downtown Nashville before performing low-altitude maneuvers near the home of Kid Rock.
The Army is calling it a coincidence claiming the helicopters were on a routine training route and that any connection to the No Kings rally was “entirely coincidental.”
The optics are obviously bad. Military attack helicopters hovering over a resistance protest and then doing a salute fly-by for a prominent Trump ally on the same day is a combination that’s hard to explain away as coincidence.
