The Trump administration has filed an emergency request with the First Circuit Court of Appeals to block U.S. District Judge John McConnell’s order requiring it to fully fund the SNAP program using alternative funding sources by today. We’d say it’s astonishing, but at this point, it’s clear they’re intent on letting struggling Americans go hungry.
