The Trump administration, after shutting down a resettlement program for Afghans who aided U.S. forces, is now negotiating to relocate up to 1,100 of those individuals to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Among them are military interpreters, veterans of Afghan Special Operations units, and relatives of American troops. The group includes more than 400 children.
