The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Western New York
Northern Ohio
Northwest Pennsylvania
Northern Panhandle of West Virginia
Lake Erie
* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 250 PM
until 1100 PM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will increase in coverage through the
afternoon, in a relatively warm and humid air mass. A few of the
storms may become severe, with damaging wind gusts being the main
concern.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35
statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles west northwest
of Mansfield OH to 60 miles east northeast of Bradford PA. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
