The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southeast Arizona
* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 230 PM until
1000 PM MST.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are developing over the higher terrain of
east-central Arizona. Somewhat similar to yesterday, these storms
will track southwestward through the evening, posing a risk of
damaging wind gusts.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north of Safford
AZ to 40 miles west southwest of Sierra Vista AZ. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
