The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Northwest Minnesota
Southeast North Dakota
* Effective this Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning from 550 PM
until 100 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter likely
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will increase in coverage and intensity this
evening in vicinity of a cold front moving across the area. A few
severe storms are expected, capable of hail and damaging wind gusts.
An isolated tornado is possible.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 60 miles south southwest
of Detroit Lakes MN to 80 miles northeast of Thief River Falls MN.
