Sadly this morning, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved Sen. Mike Lee’s amendment to eliminate the 2001 Roadless Rule, which protects roughly 45 million acres of national forest land. The amendment was filed late Tuesday night and added during a committee markup of the Wildfire Prevention Act rather than through a standalone hearing focused on the Roadless Rule.
