It has to be embarrassing to be MAGA after spending weeks blaming “vandals” for the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool damage, only for the Trump administration to admit in court that it was caused by a “flawed installation” by the contractor. We’ve been saying from the start that the contractor was the problem. This is exactly why no-bid contracts are a bad idea. When there’s no real competition or oversight, taxpayers are often the ones left paying for the mistakes.
