There was so much interest in the Maxwell transcripts that I committed to you to do a series where we go through all of the transcripts of each day of the trial, starting with the pre-trial hearing, through the entire trial, to the request for a new trial based on statements made by “Juror 50”, to the actual sentencing hearing in which the judge delivered Maxwell’s sentence to her. The transcripts of Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial and sentencing give us both a broad and deep view into so many aspects of the inner workings of Epstein’s machine, and Maxwell’s roles in that machine of trauma and horrors, the latter being articulated by, among other things, all of the victim and witness testimony during the trial.
As a happy coincidence this will *also* give you a comprehensive lesson on how the criminal trial court system works / doesn’t work, again, from pre-trial to conclusion. (All of course in plain English – I never imagined my background as a law professor would be being put to use like this!)
