Great news! Three high school mariachi musicians and their parents have been freed from federal immigration detention facilities in Texas after lawmakers from both parties pushed for their release. Eighteen-year-old Antonio Gámez-Cuéllar had been held at the El Valle Detention Center in Raymondville, while his brothers Caleb, 14, and Joshua, 12 (also mariachi performers) and their parents were confined at a separate facility in Dilley, hundreds of miles away. Following bipartisan advocacy, the family has now been reunited and released.
