More than 60 trees have now been cut down at the historic East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, D.C. as Trump pushes ahead with plans to remake the public course into a championship golf course. A federal judge had specifically said she wanted advance notice before more than 10 trees were removed or heavy equipment was brought onto the property. According to The Washington Post, neither the plaintiffs nor the court were notified about this latest work. But once again, something public and historic gets torn apart first, while everyone else is left asking questions afterward.
