You know how you can tell when a smile is absolutely genuine? When there is no one else around, and the smile reupts on your face and you can’t suppress it. That is pure, unadulterated happiness!
Background: During routine labwork this past July my HSCRP (high sensitivity c-reactive protein) was very, unusually high. This can indicate something causing high inflammation in the body (an infection, autoimmune stuff spiking, cancer, etc.).  After freaking out a bit I remembered that just a few days before I had gotten my Covid booster, asked the doctor if that could have done it, the doctor said absolutely, and that we should retest. It took a while for me to retest because in the interim I also got the flu shot. But I just tested this morning, opened the results, and that broad, irrepressible smile hit my face!
