We’ve been targeted a few times ourselves, but it increasingly looks like this is expanding far beyond any specific group. The DOJ appears to be targeting people based on social media posts, political activism, or participation in protests, then labeling them as “antifa” regardless of whether they belong to any organization. That label is becoming a convenient way to cast suspicion on people for their views rather than their actions. If someone commits a crime, charge them with the crime. But monitoring and investigating people because of their speech, political beliefs, or online posts is a dangerous road to go down. The First Amendment was created to protect dissent, not turn it into evidence.
