IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THE *STATES* CONTROL VOTING, INCLUDING THE BALLOT DROP BOXES!
Remember that with “mail-in” voting, the only point at which the federal government becomes involved is if you put your ballot in the hands of the post office. Just because it’s called “mail-in” doesn’t mean you have to involve the post office. In fact please don’t involve the post office. Every state operates ballot drop boxes, or points at the polling places where you can drop off your ballot. Those drop boxes are operated by the *state*. Polling places are operated by the *state*. The best way to make sure that the federal government doesn’t interfere with your vote is by keeping your ballot out of the hands of the federal government. So start making plans now and identify a state-controlled point to drop off your ballot.
