I WANT TO POINT SOMETHING OUT WHICH MAY GIVE YOU SOME COMFORT
I’ll post this in the morning too but I want to post it now while I’m thinking of it:
Think about all of the things that Trump has threatened to do. Now think about whether he has actually done them. Yes he has done some things that are horrendous. And even some things that are clearly illegal (extrajudicial killings, for example). But there are a whole lot of things that he has said he’s going to do or threatened to do and then either simply not done and stopped talking about them, or in some cases has actually walked them back (such as taking Greenland by force, which he just walked back today).
My point is: when you hear him say something that starts to stress you, remind yourself that at least half of the things he says he’s going to do he doesn’t do, and it’s just more catastrophe theater to cause you to continue to be in a heightened state of stress so that you can’t function as well as as you otherwise might. Remember: a confused, stressed, scared populous is a weak populous. That is his plan.
So let what he says go in one ear and out the other instead of letting it live rent free in your head. If it actually comes to pass, stress about it then… or don’t.

Thank you. In my honest opinion from watching him decline I honestly don’t feel he even remembers half the things he threatens. Not due to my dislike of him but as a person in the medical field for over 40+ years I feel he’s mentally unstable. You know it’s time to take away his keys and the nuclear codes

Exactly. Most of it is distraction and fodder for those who want to “own the libs.” Let’s not get distracted by his talk and focus on what he does.

Thank you 💛 Between that reminder and seeing the monks last week I’m slowly grasping my peace again.

With his firehose stream of promises and threats, the difficulty lies in determining which are probable and how to block or prepare for them. When it comes to military threats, I suspect that he and Hegseth got a ton of pushback from the Joint Chiefs and other senior officers. He tends to back down when he finally realizes others in power are standing up to him. It’s unfortunate that the GOP doesn’t realize this.

The media need to stop hyping his rhetoric. Starve him of oxygen.

He is throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks.

I tell my mother: don’t listen to what he says. Look at what he’s actually doing. Keep up the great work, Anne P. Mitchell, Esq.!
