“Something touching happened in our little town. An elderly woman drove to our location because there wasn’t anything near where she lives. She stood next to us grasping her walking sticks and said she was happy to be able to participate. We gave her an extra sign and we all stood together in the cold.
I got to know her a little bit and discovered we both lived in Yosemite about 10 years apart, that she is a badass single mother who raised a wonderful daughter and lived a big adventurous life.
Wow!
The people we meet when we gather in solidarity are amazing!”
