CBS News Radio is shutting down and all its anchors are being let go. This is what happens when a news organization spends years trying to appease Trump instead of just doing journalism. CBS caved again and again, and it didn’t save them. It never does. Appeasement doesn’t work with authoritarian bullies it just signals that the pressure is working and invites more of it. A free press isn’t something you negotiate away piece by piece hoping they’ll leave you alone. By the time you figure that out, there’s nothing left to protect. Americans don’t like state-run media!
